Arrived at the clover field near the southwest corner of Oak and Sherk Streets at 14:30. Mostly sunny skies with a strong East wind and temperature around 22°C. Calling this report “adult sighted” because no Monarchs were seen leaving or arriving. However, this number was an increase over the Monarchs I had seen in the morning. Also, a higher number than was observed on the morning of September 17. All Monarchs were actively nectaring except for one very faded male that was trying to mate with any female he could find. The females were not receptive. Duration of observation 30 minutes. Monarchs were observed using my binoculars and the naked eye. Note: I actively look for tags daily and none have been sighted.
