The start of the week had 25-30 birds at our 15 feeders in the back, and 5 in the front/side.. arriving between 6:30 and 6:50 am,. Wild scene! Previously we had been having 10-12, mostly female, with 3 consistent males since June. We’ve had two juvenile males and 3 females the last 4 days. The males had the white necks, with the patch/start of bright red feathers. Beautiful sight! They’re still here, and the red ring is nearing completion.
Today started slow, with one female, then 3 birds, then 7. Only one male seen so far today! That’s it as of now.
