Saw a very large and healthy Monarch on our grassland Sunday. I was hand collecting forb seed for a prairie planting next year and the Monarch came out of some dense native grass. The Asters, Sunflowers and some Goldenrod are still in bloom here. Collected over 1,000 Common milkweed pods this weekend, now to separate the seeds from the down.
