we had a high temp of 92 today, sunny and clear until about 1:00p.m. winds picked up to about 20 mph, gusts 30 mph. Monarchs coming in from the north, flying into the wind it seems. One at a time they came in to visit the Sweet Autumn clematis, short stop at one and then short stop on the next, about 10 feet away, then off they go to the west. counted as they came in and landed on plant all afternoon, thought for sure some would roost, did not see any roosting.
