Sightings report image

Date: 09/20/2021

Number: 5

The location of the main activity I observed was a flower bed on the corner of Delaware Ave and Fifth St West Pittston, PA, 18643. This garden has been attracting Monarchs daily for weeks. I watched and photographed today beginning around 1:00 pm for well over half an hour as two Monarchs fed ravenously among flowers to be joined by two others for a few minutes. At least two Monarchs were males and at least one was female. I took good pictures with my Nikon but have no way to upload them here. I'm uploading a frame from a short cellphone video clip of two Monarchs instead. A fifth Monarch circled around a bit among the Phlox behind nearby 326 North St but continued on without landing.
