First monarch I've seen in a gee weeks! This bright male monarch has been nectaring in the sun on verbena bonariensus and then resting on seedheads of allium plants for the past 20 minutes. (He may have emerged here as there is milkweed in the perennial borders.) In a public rose garden and park, just east of Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. 64 degrees, light west wind.
