Sorry for the bad photo but I think you can still tell it's a Monarch, gorgeous, not tattered at all and it seemed spunky. This is the third one we've seen, timing wise spaced apart about two weeks and all looking perfect/not tattered or dull.
I unfortunately didn't have a camera close at hand for the others. I've only seen one or two Painted Ladys this summer, whereas usually they're more plentiful.
