A healthy looking Monarch fluttered past me this morning about 9:00am, as I was walking, at approximately my height: 5' 3/4". Yesterday afternoon, I saw a very tattered looking butterfly, about half of it's lower wings appeared to missing. I had to get a feeder hung for Ruby throated hummingbirds. I then turned to go see if it was a Monarch, and a Ruby Throat zoomed in toward the feeder: butterfly gone.
