A juvenile male Ruby Throat has no competition. There are only seven who feed here, with 3-4 others around the yard. Only one is an adult male. The others are juvenile males and females. They've flown south with yesterday's strong tailwinds. Today is a sunny 78 degree day with northerly 6 mph breezes. The days of seeing 30 or more birds is over as migration to Mexico is in full swing here.
