This morning: Saw a Monarch taking shelter in the wind/light rain, clinging to a leaf, in our milkweed jungle. Stayed there for a couple hours, then by about noon, it had taken off for somewhere else, or maybe better shelter (we had a downpour a short time later). This is unusual because I haven't seen any since the Northern migrators stopped coming around laying eggs 2-3 weeks ago.. so either this was one of my caterpillars that just came out of a hidden chrysalis, or it's passing through.
