Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/23/2021

Number: 3

Our two remaining resident juveniles that I've been reporting on are still here, one male and one female. The young male is rather solid and looks like he is ready for the long journey. I do worry about our young female. She is quite petite. I've already been praying for them and will continue to do so. They continue to feed at the feeders and on various flowers throughout the gardens. We did have at least one traveler today, which definitely put my two on high alert.

We had 4 inches of rain all day Tuesday through Wednesday night. A cold front has temps down into the upper 40s and low 50s at night for the next few days. I'm keeping a close eye on our sweet hummers. I pray they have smooth and pleasant travels with lots of bugs, nectar, fresh feeders, and good weather and no hazards along the way.
