Down to 4 spotted since last night. We are finally winding down in numbers.
One rubythroat sub adult in photo hogs potted plants, feeders on patio. He can't balance so flips wings non stop when sitting. Appears his molting all over with a heavy tail problem.
He's a pistol in that won't let orhers come in chases them out till dusk, even with a handicap.
It has been a very long return in extensive numbers for our fall 2021 here.
Glad it's over. A lot of work keeping 8 feeders clean.
