At 9 a.m. there were 70 monarchs on the north side of Cottonwood tree and plum bushes in tree line which has continued as a roost site. South wind, temp. around 62 degrees. Still water in the canal and goldenrod and Maximilian sunflower. At around noon, there were 55 in the shelter belt, mostly in their favorite areas that are protected from the wind in the middle of the shelter belt. South wind, temp. probably in the 70s. This is the other location that has continued to be used as a roost site for the past 1 1/2 weeks.
