At approximately 6PM I noticed numerous Monarchs landing on a 3 acre field of White Aster at our home. I have a 15 hive Honey Bee Apiary and was checking to see if our honeybees where taking nectar from the Aster. To my surprise there were a large number of Monarchs taking nectar from the Aster. I counted more than 35, I would guess closer to 50 Monarchs were in this very thick patch of White Aster. It was hard to count since they were spread out and landing often.
