Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/20/2021

Monarch Waystation #271 reports sighting a total of 3 pupae in the front yard. This includes the one sighted [and reported to JN on 9/18 on the water meter fence]. Another pupa was found about 1:15 pm under a small part of the front door's façade [photo], and the other on the lower edge of some vinyl siding trim we share with the neighboring townhouse. These pupae were probably from the 2 5th instar larvae reported earlier on the front yard Purple milkweed. The monarch larva in the attached photo was presumably the same 5th instar I had placed on this backyard Purple milkweed yesterday [and reported to JN that day with no photo].
