Monarch Waystation #271 reports carefully bringing in three firm monarch pupae with the intent to tag any resulting butterflies with Monarch Watch tags, releasing them once dry and eager to fly. From 11:15 to 11:43 am the three were gathered in the front yard from the water meter access plate fence, the front door façade, and the vinyl siding eave. By the coloration of the pupae and the dates of their discovery, it's predicted the water meter fence monarch will emerge first, the vinyl siding one next, and the façade one last [seen in the photo attached].
