Monarch migration continues along the Lake Huron shoreline as I counted 54 monarchs in 4 hours. That brings the total to 223 for the last two days of the first waves of monarchs for September. The weather was clearing to sunshine when I saw the first monarch at 1:25 PM, and it became very cloudy and dark when I counted the last monarch at 4:02 PM. I saw no monarchs the last 58 minutes of the count. Here are the hour by hour counts:
1 - 2 PM = 27
2 - 3 PM = 15
3 - 4 PM = 11
4 - 5 PM = 1
The Wind was W-9 mph with the Temperature topping out at 63F. The low this morning was 54F.
