Just at sunset/dusk on Friday, September 24th, we spotted many monarchs flying around my in-law’s home. We noticed they were all landing on a maple tree. When we looked closely at this 40 foot tall tree, we noticed they were grouped together covering the ends if the branches. There were so many we couldn’t get an accurate count. It was beautiful and something they had not seen before on their property. They have a large grown up field behind their house that has lots of milkweed and other wild vegetation. It was mesmerizing and special to watch them fly around and then find their spot among all of the other butterflies on the tree!
