Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/26/2021

Number: 7

We see 5-7 repeatedly throughout the day nectaring on our black knight butterfly bushes. This continues to be the nectaring plant of choice. They remain a long time before taking off individually. This has been happening every day for several weeks until evening. We do not know if they are surviving locally in these groups and nectar in our gardens or are groups stopping while on their journey south. I will definitely plant another black knight in my third habitat garden next spring.
