8 a.m. Not a hummingbird in sight until the Hawk got hosed out sitting on top of trellis. Took them about 30 minutes after staying up in trees to resume nectaring on all purple salvia varieties, Hamelia,honeysuckle,potted porterweeds, Turks cap, Cigar plant, lipstick salvia. Cana lilies - Indian shot, Brake lights.

Now seeing chases at 2:30 p.m. and some dont look like rubythroats with iredecent green backs.. Trying to determine species, but are sub adults. We get a lot of different species come thru in fall migration back.
