Seeing hundreds of little monarch flying south over the highway between soda Springs Idaho and Montpelier Idaho

[Report moved from Monarch Adult Sighted to Signs of Fall by Journey North, 09/30/2021]

[Additional information contributed by observer, added by Journey North, 09/29/21]:

I was driving East along Hwy 30 from Soda Springs, ID to Montpelier, ID. That’s about a 30 mile stretch and they were constantly flying across the road the whole way. They were crossing the Highway from North to South. It was sunny and between 3-4pm. I don’t remember there being much wind. Hills/mountains on both sides of the valley with farm fields and open range in the valley. I don’t have a photo. I tried but they weren’t stopping and it was hard to take one. Lots of sagebrush and trees turning fall colors.
