Three small roosts had formed by 5:30 PM near the end of Tawas Point. All three were about 15 to 30 feet above the ground. One each were located in a Jack Pine a White Pine and an Aspen. Winds were SW at 8-10 and temperature was in the mid 60 degrees. 60, 30 and 30 monarchs per roost are estimated. A few Monarchs were still flying into roost areas when we left the area around 6PM.
