Sadly today, we observed empty hummingbird feeders. The "Flurry" as I call them, was gone. We had a cool wave come thru with a temperature drop from 70's to 50's. We had had an increase in numbers since the middle of August, with the last three weeks being the heaviest, with about 15 birds flurrying about during feeding times. They usually all fed in one wad several times a day They consisted of several males, females and many young or adipescent birds of both sexes.
