A friend gave me a tropical milkweed before I knew anything about the Monarch cycle and I planted it in my backyard. Had 15 eggs on it, 9 of the caterpillars made it to the stage where they leave the plant. Two attached to the wall of my house. One caterpillar is still on the plant feeding.
