Sightings report image

Date: 09/30/2021

Number: 3

I still have 2 here all day and others coming through so quite often I see a couple chasing and one at the feeder. I have a Juvenile Male who is super aggressive sitting on a Shepard Hook, it being the tallest from which to oversee the yard, chasing and coming right back onto the hook. He patrols, nectars on Black & Blue, Pinepapple Sage, Cuphea, Gartenmeister Fuchsia, etc. and drinks from both feeders, and tanks up from at the tube feeder after a chase. A routine for him. The other hides in the shrubbery and tries to feed but unfortunately gets chased. I think it drinks from a feeder in front of the house since that is going down in fluid. The bugs are everywhere for them this year in my yard; swarms of them.
