We had two butterflies emerged. I raised them outside in my garden. I put a net to protect from yellow jackets and spiders. The day before they emerged from the chrysalis I brought her inside so I can test them for OE parasite.

Unfortunately one of them was heavily infested so I cannot release her. I tested the scales with the microscope but I could tell before since her straws were out and her abdomen looks whitish.

It’s hard to raise them outside for the last generation without getting OE parasite. I could easily sanitize the egg and leaves when I raise them inside but outside rearing I cannot sanitize the egg or leaves.
