Observed 110 monarchs yesterday as we travelled from Barnegat Light to Holegate in LBI, NJ

My sightings were actual counts of individual monarchs. We travelled by car from Barnegat Light in LBI of NJ, to Holegate which is 20 miles south. We counted the monarchs we passed from the car while traveling. It took us one hour to cover the distance and counted 95. When we got to the southern end of LBI, we saw another 15 flying along the ocean beach. All monarchs were heading south.

We started driving at 10:30 AM and got to Holegate at 11:30.
