Monarch migration is at its peak here at our farm located adjacent to the Shenandoah National Park. We saw 15 Monarchs all feeding on our Buddleias at one time.
From 3 to 4 pm, we saw an average of 3-4 Monarchs a minute migrating south. The most we saw in the air flying south all at the same time was 9 butterflies.
The weather was sunny with a light breeze from the SW. The temperature was in the low to mid 70s.
