Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/02/2021

Number: 1000

To many to count! Thousands of monarchs flying in a clear path south! So beautiful been watching for over an hour!

[Additional information contributed by observer, added by Journey North, 10/05/21]:

Well I watched them for around 30-45 mins and at any given moment there were to many in the sky to count and they were all flying clearly and quickly south from the north. They were at various heights, most very high up, thankfully the white fluffy clouds made it easy to see them. The weather was beautiful, sunny and warm. I would say around every 30 seconds there were at least 3-5 monarchs within 20 feet of me also flying directly south from the north. It was quite a sight to see so many and seeing how high some were flying.
