Counted 1 aprox per second for 30 minutes around 5pm at Cherry Cove Overlook on Blue Ridge Parkway MP 415.7. Flying fast on wind current up out of cove and across road/ridge line 10 to 30+ feet overhead. Absolutely incredible.
Monarchs were very abundant nectaring on goldenrod at nearby overlooks as well including the Looking Glass Rock overlook. BRP MP 417.
