Date: 10/03/2021

Number: 1000

100s probably over a thousand in under several tree groupings, in the shade

[Additional information contributed by observer, added by Journey North, 10/07/21]:

not sure when they formed. saw them Sunday Oct 3rd around 10am . we left our property that day also.
We have lots of Milk weed growing naturally.
temps probably low to mid 70s at night
were in Oak trees and they are sheilded by wind
we seem to get them every year in October, we dont go to the land every day or every weekend.
we have seen more. usually they are more active but since the temp was probably mid 80s they were less active, since i could catch a few with only my hand. the picture i'm including shows clumps off whatg we saw. probably about 20 of these clumps in one group of trees and 10 maybe in another group of trees. when they dont flap and sitting still they are hard to find.
