A beautiful partly sunny with temps in the mid 70's at Jones Beach I spotted 94 monarchs from 5:30-6:30 pm. There are numerous food sources in the area specifically golden rod. All looked healthy and were ravenous. Roosts were difficult to locate with only one or two monarchs in each roost.
