On a gorgeous fall day with temps in the mid 70's and a light westerly wind I spotted 197 monarchs from 2 pm -5 pm. The food sources continue to be plentiful. All looked healthy and were feeding primarily on goldenrod. Clouds coverage was thickening with intermittent rain showers predicted for the next couple of days.
