5 sub adult males rubythroats, 1 sub adult trying to i.d. doesn't look like a sub adult rubythroat.
They still prefer inground Hamelia very early at daylight. Skinny ones Sometimes go to feeder during day. 1 guards west side feeder early. Another comes into north side feeder very early daily then goes way out into tree.
2 very young were on small high view disk south side feeder together at daylight.
We have inground giant Hamelia north and west side finally coming back due to 2011 11 degrees freeze. Black and Blue salvia dried up during heat this past summer. Black and blue salvia now coming back up slower than Aimstead, Rokin deep purple salvia that are in full bloom for any overwintering hummingbirds.
