It looks like a lot of them left this morning, but there are plenty left

They were here 5 days, they like in every year i've been watching them here seem to start with a few and the numbers increase every day, I suspect that they converge here from a wide area. the numbers peaked on Oct 3 PM on the 4th it appeared that over half of them continued their migration, Last night;Oct 4th I estimated there were about 1500 left sometime this morning Oct 5 the rest left. The roost is very sheltered, there is a 600 yard tree line separating 2 farms about 600 yards long comprised mostly of sugarberry trees running North and South about the center of the line is a .25 acre grove of white pine on the west side of the line. Overnight temps have been mid 50's to low 60's wind has been mosty light from the South west. the spot is situated in such a way that they can find shelter from any wind direction. My number estimate was a combination of counting clusters and size of the clusters and best guess. I first discovered this roost 25 years ago and they have arrived here Oct1 plus or minus 2 days every year. while they are here they don't seem to feed they just cluster on branches almost like they were waiting for everyone to arrive.
