Signs of Fall

Date: 10/05/2021

A doe and her two fawns are out feeding at the Apple trees, starting at about 5:30 pm. The fawns no longer have their spots and are growing apace.

The young turkeys are also growing large. They are starting to travel out of hiding in smaller groups, but still with two adults. I saw five total, under the apple trees.

Sadly, we've had ticks carrying Anaplasmosis. My husband got it several years ago. My dog got it this year, despite religiously giving him his flea and tick meds. The one thing that helped was spraying Beneficial Nematodes every year.
