The first graders at St. Lorenz Lutheran School in Frankenmuth, MI learn about the life cycle of monarchs at the beginning of every school year. The students observe the metamorphosis of monarchs right before their eyes! When the monarchs are ready to fly, we tag their wing with a special sticker and unique i.d., as part of the Monarch Watch program. Then we wave good-bye, and wish our monarchs well as they begin their long migration journey to Mexico!
