Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/06/2021

Number: 1

A fifth monarch butterfly from our milkweed patch this year! I'm surprised to see it, esp. so late in the season!
However, it flew out of the yard and is now hanging onto a willow branch at the edge of our garden across the lane.
Today's high is 27.7 C, wind SE 8 kph, sky heavy cirrostratus.
Thankfully, there hasn't been any frost here yet (unusual for SK), and there are still a few flowers blooming in our garden and on roadsides.
Vaya con Dios, No. 5!
