I found 3 instar 1 monarch caterpillars on milkweed in the backyard today. One looks like it is getting ready to molt. I will be raising these. I also have 10 monarch caterpillars that I am raising (3 instar 3 and 7 instar 4) as well as 9 chrysalides. The ocean temperature is 71 degrees F which is keeping the air warmer than the surrounding areas. 70s during the days 60s at night.
