Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/03/2021

Number: 250

Cloudy and overcast..temps in 60s. Counted 250 monarchs between 10:00 and 1:00. Stopped counting as I needed to get work done but still kept seeing individuals flying over and some landing in the yard for the remainder of the day. Most flew over in west-southwest direction. Some landed and nectared on asters and Mexican sunflowers (Tithonia sp).
