My husband and I were in Oljato-Monument Valley which is on the border of AZ/UT. It was late afternoon and sunny, and suddenly we saw, "out of the blue" a beautiful monarch butterfly, fly through the desert landscape in front of our car at high speed! :)! It was such a wonderful surprise, since it's only our second sighting this enitre year (the first one was recently on the coast of northern California). This individual looked new and strong - we wished him well on his journey south! :)
