first we noticed a fluttery shadow on the sidewalk and then street surface before we sighted an adult monarch moving directly away from us N to S @ the new Sunrise Bagel shop on Water ST. this is a first monarch since 28 SEP 2021 when we had a high count day of 3 migrating adults [ < https://journeynorth.org/sightings/query_result.html?record_id=1526550582 > & < https://journeynorth.org/sightings/query_result.html?record_id=1526550585 > ]. several recent days of cool nights and wonderful sunny bright days 65 - 75 F with variable gentle wind.
