I saw two monarchs flirting in my garden yesterday October 7th.
Today I saw one monarch landing on dried up milkweed plants and sitting there for several minutes.
When I went up to the plant after it left I saw an egg.
This is the latest I have seen a monarch by several weeks. The temps have been in the 80's and 70's lately. Very unusual record highs all over the state.
