Counted at least 200 Monarchs, primarily on Frostweed. Our frostweed is 8 + feet tall this year, so it's easy to walk the perimeter of the plants and count without disturbing the butterflies. ~20 necataring on Blue Mist, tall verbena, lantana. A few on the turk's cap and red salvia.
Temp ~90, mostly clear skies, winds up to 15mph, S.
I checked the numbers hourly from 10am-4pm CDT. They increased from ~100 to over 200 between 11-2.
This number has been slowly increasing since Oct.7.
