Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/09/2021

Number: 2

We had 2 travelers today, both either juveniles or females, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon into the evening. Both visited our feeders. The one in the evening even visited our window feeder, which most travelers do not do. This particular hummingbird, which appeared to be a juvenile female, perched nearby when I went outside and was very comfortable with my presence. She definitely seems to have spent time around humans.

The nasty wet weather we've had in our greater area for the last week has lifted and there appears to be very good weather for the hummingbirds migrating through the southeast for the next week or so.
