Count is average of several observations during the day. These counts were all less than 5 minute duration.
We have had numerous Monarchs thoughout the day. With hot, dry winds today, we kept the sprinkler going into this evening which was apparantly helpful as there were nearly more butterflies than could be counted, out enjoying the water.
The attached photo is an adult at roost this evening (10/09/2021) in the lowest branches of our Elm tree. While I could still see, there were several dozens visible, at roost in this one tree.
