I've been seeing two or three monarchs every couple of days nectaring on tithonia (mexican sunflowers), zinnias and buddleia. It's just about every other day I see them, as if the last migrants are coming thru. Some will remain for a couple of days furiously nectaring before leaving prior to the cold front. Others just stop and then fly in a southern direction. Some of the plants in bloom are snakeroot and buddleia along with the annuals I grew. I've only rarely seen snakeroot used but see bees on it often. An aggressive but native perennial that every garden should have due to it's long lasting bloom.
