Two intrepid monarchs migrating through the yard, one about 11:15, the other 12:45. Both kept low, threading their way between houses to partially avoid the strong southwest winds (15-20 mph with higher gusts). Temperature reached the mid-80s today. Migrating 2000 miles to central Mexico is hard enough, but today I gained even more respect for their epic journey while watching the second one fighting for every inch, battling the headwind and getting battered around by the gusts. Go, go, go!
