My friend (Larry) and I have observed no monarchs from October 5th to the 10th. The weather had been very good with 3 sunny days with temperatures 64 to 70 with the wind mostly easterly. The other 3 days were foggy with the temperatures in the mid to upper 60's. The wind was again mostly easterly. Today, Larry called me at 6 PM to tell me he saw a monarch in his yard, which is just north of town, at 1 PM. He said that the monarch was flying low heading SW when a gust of wind carried it higher going NE until it disappeared. The weather was sometimes sunny in an overcast day with the Wind WSW-12 gusting at times to 20 mph. The Temperature topped out at 72F.
