While walking in the gardens I saw more monarchs than I've seen in years. Although there was only a total of eight, usually the most I have ever seen in recent years at once are two or three. Today I saw three feeding from a butterfly bush, and another feeding from another butterfly bush. The other four flew over at intervals, roughly headed south.
